Food and Nutrition at Holsworthy Community College teaches students the importance of healthy eating, food preparation, and the science behind nutrition. Through practical cooking lessons and theoretical study, students gain valuable life skills, understand dietary needs, and explore the impact of food choices on health and wellbeing.

Inclusive practice in Food and Nutrition supports students to develop practical life skills safely and confidently in our kitchens.

· Cooking techniques are modelled before practical work begins.
· Key processes and nutritional knowledge are revisited regularly.
· Teachers check in frequently to support confidence.
