Religious Education
Religious Education at Holsworthy Community College encourages students to explore beliefs, values, and traditions from a range of world religions and worldviews. Through thoughtful discussion and critical enquiry, students develop respect, empathy, and an understanding of the diverse communities that shape our society.
Our curriculum plans for Years 7–11 promote spiritual and moral development, preparing students to engage with ethical issues and reflect on their own beliefs.
Religious Education (RE) – Inclusive Practice
Inclusive practice in RE supports students in exploring beliefs, values, and ethical questions in a safe and structured environment.
Examples of Adapt in Practice in RE Lessons:
· Complex ideas are broken down into manageable sections.
· Vocabulary and key concepts are supported through glossaries and retrieval tasks.
· Teachers model paragraph structures and how to develop responses.
· Discussions are carefully guided to ensure confidence and respect.
· Scaffolded tasks support independent written responses.
